How to work out how much turf you need
- Measure the area in metres and multiply length by width.
- Add 5 percent for cuts. Covers cuts around curves and borders. Turf is perishable and should be laid within 24 hours of delivery, so ordering short means a second delivery rather than a trip to the yard.
- Divide by what one roll (1 square metre) covers, and round up. Suppliers do not sell part units.
