How to work out how many bricks you need
- Measure the area in metres and multiply length by width.
- Add 5 percent for cuts. Covers breakage and cuts at openings and corners. Bricklayers usually add 5 percent, more on a wall with many openings.
- Divide by what one brick covers, and round up. Suppliers do not sell part units.
